St Stanislaus
Dear Ms Dutt
This is just a quick fix solution which will not elimanate the traffic congestion on Hill Road, but it is a definite damage to the long standing heritage of Stanislaus. Please include my name in the list of petitioners.
Thank you

Save bandra
Dear Ms Dutt
While we at Bandra apppreciate you taking up the issue and meeting with the concerned authorities, what Bandra really needs is written assurance that our land will not be touched

Do not touch my school
Please do not give the school land which is meant for the children or desecrate the graves of the departed so that hawkers will be able to sell their wares or people will be able to park their cars. Educational & religious land for commerce, is this what the country has come to???

Take the Power Back
Taking away a piece of you, is something that cannot be replaced no matter what given in exchange - the school has been an essential part of the Heritage of Bandra and has played an essential role in shaping the lives of it's many students - taking away a part of it...will take away a part of us...We not gonna let it happen...are we???

Ms Dutt.
I strongly urge you to take all possible action within your powers,to stop the transfer of Land from children of Bandra to the crooked beaureaucrats of the Bandra muncipality.Past Performance is the best indicator of future behaviour and you cannot with a straight ace ,believe that the so called "road widening' will be used for the public good .I urge you to use your mandate to serve the citizens of Bandra ,and put an end to this legalized extortion, hold inquiries as to whether this effort is motivated by corruption and if so ,use your powers to fire the people responsible
Yours respectfully

Demolishing of Old Andheri Temples
Dear Priya
I read with interest today's TOI. I have been following up the issue regarding the Road Widening in Bandra and people's opposition to BMC taking over some part of the Tata Agiary and the church. It felt nice to see people united to save their heritage. Unfortunately, in Andheri,MMRDA is in the process of demolishing the Temple in Andheri (W) ( which must be atleast 80 years old since my grandfather as a kid used to visit it)near the market and the old Ganapati temple near the Andheri (E) station. The temple authorities have tried to stall it since these two temples are places which old Andheri residents are very attached to and have been there since before our birth. We wish to save them. Can you, as our representative in Lok Sabha and someone who is levelheaded help us? Can you speak to the Authorities concerned? Please do let us know.

Thankyou

Takeover of St. Stanislaus Grounds
Dear Ms Dutt

It is indeed a sad day that BMC is pushing the Management of St Stanislaus HS to handover part of their grounds to allow for the road widening. The economic growth of the country is fuelled by the large pool of talented people who have been developed over the years by great institutions like St Stanislaus. Unfortunately this effort in turn has fuelled the need for cars and lead to congestion in urban areas and traffic jams. However instead of creating opportunities outside with the money that has come in, the Govt. seems hell bent on penalising the very institutions that helped create that wealth. The Jesuits have a strong tradition of providing top level educational services to the all irrespective of social class. Other institutions in their fold include St Xavier’s, St Marys etc. The grounds are required to continue this good work. Taking away the grounds will impact their ability to produce well developed individuals who will take the country to prosperity. In effect, the Govt. is killing the hen that lays the golden egg. I would urge to petition the Govt. to stop this and look at alternative ways to resolve the problem. As our representative we hope you will do you best to make this happen. We thank you for good work and I am sure this will continue for a long time.

Yours Sincerely

Save the bandra heritage
Dear Ms. Dutt

I was horrified when i read that St peter's church ground and st. Stanislaus school playground is been taken under road widening. It's not just because its my ex-school but also because the church and school are heritage and pride of bandra. The traffic jams are more because of the hawkers and the shops which have slowly widened thier shops and taken the foot-path under thier premises. Hence the people have to walk on the roads causing a hinderance to the vehicles. I think the hawkers should be removed and the shops should be re-habitated instead of the property of the school which has helped the society and helped the children transform into better human beings. I have no doubt that u will do the needful.
Thanking you,
Ashish Tahilramani.

Born For Greater things
Dear Priya,
St. Stanislaus High School, a school synonymous with Bandra. A school that has produced many great people in different walks of life. A school that has thought thousands the true value of life and respect for life.
It is indeed disheartening to hear the BMC has decided to take over parts of this great institute in the guise of road widening. My fervent appeal to you is to use your good office to convince those responsible for this decision to refrain from doing so. I know your esteemed father the late Mr. Sunil Dutt would have surely gone around getting the public feedback before taking any decision on a matter that is sure to hurt and even anger the sentiments of thousands. In a world where people are preserving our heritage we in Bandra are trying our best to destroy parts of it.
Hope all our letter's create a change of heart and this decision to take away part of what make Bandra great is scrapped.

Thanking you
