Kalina (old C.S.T) Roads
Hi,
I will in Kalina -Old C.S.T Road & the road there is simply impossible to walk on, let alone drive a vehicle.
But I guess thanks to our red tape & politics there has been no sign of any development. As not even the corporator or even the BMC seem to know which door we must knock on...
Well I am hoping that you & the power of your office can please do something about the problem that we have been facing for over a decade.

Thank you
Rgds

Play for jail inmates
Hi Priya. AVITOKO is a group of likemind people, working with jail inmates and their kids of Mumbai, Thane, Pune. We interact wit them through art theatre, culture and literature. We have conducted a 1 week theatre workshop and the final show is slated on 2/1/10 at 3.00pm at Thane Central jail. We would be highly grateful to get your kind presence. Pl grace the occasion and boost up the morale of these inmates. Also we want to establish a centre for the kids of jail inmates, whose parents are in jail and not accepted by their other relatives. Please give us some time to show the function and method of our working. Wishing you a very happy and prosperous new year.

Mahada officers from last 3 years
Hi,

I am Ajay Butia, residing at 5th road khar (w). I am one of honest voter & need your help to save my house. We use to stay in chawl at 5th road khar & its in process of redeveloped by Guru Nanak builders. while the survey was done by Mahada officers we were not available at home & the door was locked. Hence our house is tagged as "closed" Invalid. I stay with my 61 year old mother & we are visiting the mahada office at bandra from last 1 year but the officers deny to give us the results of our appeal & hearing. Request you to kindly help to save our house. Plzzz...

Visit to India
Priya:
Hi Priya:

I hope you remember Sudhir uncle fron New York (when your mother was at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center). I met Sunil in Delhi only a month before he passed away. I was shocked. We had spent so many nights and days together. I am at the University of California for the last 28 years. I am visiting India in early March on an important mission to help India recognize and create a network of centers for patients (mostly children) with Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases (PID). I would estimate there are approximately 2 million (conservative estimate) patients with PID in India, and most of them will die due to serious infections, and some with cancer (they are 10 to 100 times more suscpetible to cancer). I would like to help (this is my mission for next 4-5 years)Indian develop 3-4 regional centers, and a Center of Excellence, where these patients can be diagnosed and treated (which may include bone marrow transplantation and gene therapy). I have already begun communicating with some of clinicians and scientists in India. I have also contacted some pharamaceuticals companies in the US (who support similar newpork in PID in North America and Europe) to help establish such center. This would help bring awareness of these diseases among general public as well as clinicians. Then Indian PID network will be tied to an International PID network where physicians and scientists may exchange their knowledge and get help for difficult cases. This would also bring down infant mortality rate in India. I will generate some resources here (for India); however, may also need some support of Indian Government as well.

I am planing to come to India (for this purpose only) around March 6th for a week. I will appreciate if I could meet with you (either in Delhi or Bombay).

Please give my love and convey my best wishes for a Healthy and Happy New Year Anju's and her family, Sanju and his family, and your husband and children.

Complaint
Madam,
I stay in Kalina (CST Road) which is also a part of your constituency. The exact address wl be Opp. Metro Card Co. (formerly) and now Opp. Honda Showroom. There are a number of Vehicles parked on the road at all times which makes it difficult. Also there is a lot of garbage right in front of the building named Govind Sagar 1, and also garbage between the two building i.e. Govind Sagar 1 and Govind Sagar 2, and this can pose any health problems. No one is bothered at all. Also the road leading from the Main road to the two buildings is very bad
Your good self is requested to kindly look into this matter seriously and your help/instructions for the same is very urgently required.

Need of development in certain Sectors
Respected Sir,
There is a need of development in certain sectors which are as follows
1.Roads have to broadened in certain places where there is more traffic like how it is there in foreign countries.
2. Preventive measures to reduce pollution as Bombay records one of the highest polluted place in India.
3. Certain sector if maintained well like sewage systems, roads, railways stations etc..many health hazards can be minimized.
Definitely Madam u will be able to take this task and will make Bombay as an example of "Clean City".
Since this will make a lot of difference in making a living in pure environment. Thus making a part of the planet clean and secure from Diseases.
